Velma Anne Ruth, M.Ed, President, ABS Community Research, Inc, Washington DC

Velma Anne Ruth has been working with nonprofit organizations since 1992. She originally worked with hundreds of children in creative arts therapies, before going into research and development in 2000. Velma founded ABS to support local partnerships between education, health and human services, and criminal justice in 2001. Efforts between 1999-2004 benefitted family violence prevention in Iran, criminology, and policy development for community justice in the US. Post-Iraq invasion, Velma amended ABS initiatives with financial and economic research on nonprofits, government, and philanthropy. She specializes in financial and stakeholder analysis, and collaborates with national, federal, and international leadership on transparency in accounting and information technology. Velma has a Masters of Education in Psychology, interdisciplinary studies with the visual and performing arts, and criminal justice; with training and innovation in IT including financial technology, CRM, and information security.

Lt. Col., Lt. Fred Conley, Jr., JD (Ret.), Vice President, Boston, Massachusetts

Lt. Fred Conley, Jr., JD is a retired Lieutenant of the Boston Police Department, having served 33 years to public safety in the city, with rookie years in neighboring suburbs. Lt. Conley is also a veteran of the US Army, who voluntarily served the country in Viet Nam. While in law enforcement, Lt. Conley maintained his commitment to the military by being in the US Army Reserves, building ranks as a Lieutenent Colonel before retiring. In 2000, Lt. Conley earned a Juris Doctorate of Law in Massachusetts. Lt. Conley has exhibited voluntary committment to ABS Community Research, Inc since 2002 in advance of board membership as Vice President. His balanced expertise in public safety and military has provided encouraging support to ABS's initiatives in criminal justice, victim protections, and concerns for the people of Iran. Lt. Conley maintains a conservative stance, and ABS Community Research, Inc is grateful for his continued presence.

 

 

 

 

Ekaterina Egorova, PhD

Political Psychologist & Consultant

 

Dr. Katya Egorova is a political psychologist with an international background in political consulting and leadership in academic institutions. Dr. Egorova obtained her PhD in Social Psychology from the Institute of Psychology, and Doctorate of Political Science at the USA and Canadian Studies Institute at the Academy of Science in Moscow. Dr. Egorova was a researcher at the Academy between doctorates, innovating political psychoanalytical methods, profiling political leaders, lecturing, and authoring articles and books. After her second doctorate, Mrs. Egorova became head of the Political Psychology department at the Academy, continuing advancements in political psychology, researching, lecturing and authoring. Dr. Egorova has participated with high-profiled institutions including Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. She has consulted on foreign election campaigns including in UK, Poland, Georgia, Japan, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Colombia, Venezuela. Dr. Egorova has won a number of awards for her contributions to public relations, and is President of Niccolo M based in Bethesda, Maryland.

Michael E. Hunt, CPA, M.E. Hunt & Associates, LLC, Long Island NY

Michael Hunt started his accounting career at the Internal Revenue Service in 1979 while becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and spent 22 years there as a Special Agent – Criminal Investigator. His efforts ranged from banks, public records, hidden assets, falsification, and kickbacks. Notably, Michael has participated in federal and state cases including providing testimony, interviewing witnesses, and preparation for Department of Justice involvement. His most striking project was as a Team Leader on the Terrorist Financing Task Force, on location in United Arab Emirates in 2002. In a break from the IRS between 1987 and 1995, Michael worked with Price Waterhouse, developed tax preparation software at Simon & Schuster, and was a Financial Investigator for the Nassau County DA.  Michael has a BA in Political Science from Fordham University, MBA in Accounting from St. Johns University, and is a member of AICPA and ACFE.
